When was the last time you looked at or used postage stamps? They are still in many ways works of art created by real artists (well so I heard). See what you can express by pairing two stamps together as [email protected] did in a mastodon post -age:

2 old U.S. 5 cent stamps. The one on the left has CIRCUS at the top faintly in grey, and a red, white and black clown . He has a big red nose, tiny black hat, red hair, and the usual clownface makeup. The one on the right has VOICE OF AMERICA at the top and a radio tower with green and red circles symbolizing airwaves.

Found in the basement. I don’t enjoy clowns (sorry, childhood trauma), but a few years ago, these 2 stamps wouldn’t have bothered me.
