This concept comes from Cendrine Marrouat over at Mastodon … she shared the idea of a Flashku, and in a post, Cendrine shares the rules of the form and some examples.
Flashku:
- is a piece of short fiction (50-1o0 words) but it is not a poem
- is inspired by an image or work of art (and source must be credited in the post)
- borrows/uses seven words from some source of writing (your own or from someone else)
- has an uplifting or positive tone
See what you can do with a Flashku.
Cendrine asks that you tag her if you are sharing your Flashku at Mastodon and feel free to reach out to her for advice, if you need it.
