Today is Thanksgiving Day in America. To help us celebrate, draw us a Turkey from memory, with your eyes closed. That’s right, this is known as blind contour drawing. There is no way to do this incorrectly. You just close your eyes and draw on a piece of paper using your mind’s eye. Your turkey can be alive or roasted and ready for the feast. It can be cartoonish, or striving for realism. But the main thing is to do it with eyes closed. If you concentrate, although it likely will not be a “perfect” drawing when you are done, but you will see features and elements that you can pick out that are instantly recognizable.
