Really high quality stop motion animation takes lots of skill and time, but with a few props, a good idea, you can easily do one yourself.
The ToyTrains4u channel has great examples of stop motion videos made with children’s toys. Stop motion animation is great, but lots can be done with pans and occasional movement as well.
For ideas, see old animations from Oliver Postgate or on YouTube such as Ivor the Engine, Nogin the Nog and The Clangers.
