What if the data charts of global CO2 levels did dramatically change? In either direction? Tell in a short story or in a caption or by any other means an alternative story to this progression, how it changed or what happened next.

After all, what good are stories if they do not challenge conventional thinking?

As it turned out, the Earth was well read and a fan of science fiction. After finishing Slaughter House Five, Earth thought it might be amusing to retrieve all the gases that had leapt into the atmosphere and push them back into the holes and volcanoes and tail pipes of the automobiles. So, on a day in May, those trillions of pounds of gasses headed back to the planet at a startling speed. Back into whence they came and kaboom! The cars, and earth blew up!
