For today’s Daily Create play around with TypeDrummer, a fun tool created by Kyle Stetz.
Each letter of the alphabet corresponds to a different sample from percussion instruments. All you have to do is type your text into the box and listen to the ensuing rhythm. Challenge yourself to match your text to the beat, like in this example, which sounds like a dryer just before it breaks down:
rumble,
rumble giddily
rumble,
rumble wrong
Characters and spaces add silence to the music. In the above example, four spaces were added after the word “wrong” to incorporate a longer pause into the music.
