See if you can imitate the style Steven McMennamy has made with running series of images he calls combophotos (tumblr) (instagram).
It’s all about creative juxtaposition and seeing the pairing in your mind.

These should be two distinct photos that are merged together along a horizontal or vertical boundary, taken so their backgrounds merge together. No cheating creating in Photoshop! Show your original separate photos too for non-existent credit points.
