This Daily Create comes from Brunetti’s book on Cartooning.
On one standard sheet of copy or notebook paper, create a grid of 100 squares. In a stream of consciousness exercise, make a small doodle in each square of whatever comes to your mind, spending no more than 5 or 10 seconds on each drawing. Continue making these in rapid-fire succession, sketching each new idea that pops into your head. You should be able to create 100 of these tiny drawings in less than ten minutes. The result will be a series of interconnected ideas flowing from one thought to the next.
