In the days before the Internet, children across the USA looked forward to the arrival of the “Wish Book” catalog that featured all of the best toys and holiday merchandise. We would circle about 50 items listed in the catalog and then on Christmas morning discover new socks and pajamas along with one or two inexpensive toys that barely resembled whatever Cabbage Patch or Star Wars toy was the hot item that year. But it doesn’t matter because the dreaming and wishing that came with the Wish Book was fun.
For today’s Daily Create, have a look at one of the catalogs in the Wish Book archives and tell us about and/or show us the items on your wish list and from what year are you wishing. We’ll put in a good word with the big guy at the North Pole.
