How does home smell? Like a bakery. Lot's of things baked at home growing up, and in my current home as well. #tdc2609 #ds106 #digme406

#tdc2609 #ds106 What does home smell like? Although I live in Virginia, home to me is Southern California where I was born and all my extended family lives. If sunshine had a smell, it’d be the smell of my “home”.

The smell of smoldering sawdust takes my mind back to Dads home designed smokehouse. Smoking bacon and ham hocks 48-72 hrs. #tdc2609 #ds106 pic.twitter.com/AdH9XITd3B

#tdc2609 #ds106 My granny loved lily of the valley. Just smelling it takes me back to her house with her cats and her china

Smell/Sensory Memory: My great-grandmother, immigrant from Ireland, used to have us over for Sunday tea and toast, always burnt for some reason, with a glob of butter on top. A whiff of burnt toast and I am a kid again in her kitchen.

The smell of cold tar and saw dust takes me back to the place in my old village where my dad had his firm. Dad (sweetest man on earth) sold all kinds of things that one uses to build a house. Cement, wood, sand, tiles, bricks (all sorts), tar, etc. etc. pic.twitter.com/zO2dykejLJ
Ohhh yeah! Books, jump rope, board games and paint. Learn how to bake. And ‘catch up on sleep’ since I rarely do that. #ed677uaf #tdc2602 #ds106
